Volunteers will assist with check-in at the Race Village, distribute meals, snack packs, and water, help replenish volunteer entitlements, provide guidance and information to fellow volunteers, and support the deployment and management of volunteer queues and areas.
As a Courtesy Crew Volunteer, you will be the welcoming face of the event, ensuring runners and spectators have a positive and enjoyable experience from start to finish. You will provide assistance, answer enquiries, and help create a lively, supportive atmosphere throughout race day.
As a Start Point Precinct Management Volunteer, you will be the first point of contact for runners and spectators, ensuring they have a smooth and safe experience navigating the event venue. Your role is crucial in maintaining order, providing assistance, and keeping the energy high around the race precinct.
Start Pen Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and organised race start. They assist in guiding runners to their designated start zones, managing crowd control, and maintaining the overall flow at the start area.
As a Village Drinks Station Volunteer, you will be responsible for keeping runners hydrated before and after their race. Stationed at the Athlete Village, you will ensure smooth water distribution and help maintain a welcoming and organised environment for all runners.
As a Finish Line Crew Volunteer, you will be a key part of ensuring a smooth and energetic finish for all participants. You will cheer them on as they cross the finish line, guide them through post-race processes, and help maintain a safe, efficient flow at the finish line area.
As an Information Booth Volunteer, you will be the first point of contact for runners and spectators, providing essential information and guidance throughout race day. At the start point, you will assist with registration, answer enquiries, and ensure the event kicks off smoothly. At the finish point, you will guide participants and spectators to post-race services, provide event details, and help maintain clear and efficient flow at the venue.
As a Medal Distribution Volunteer, you will play a key role in celebrating runners’ achievements by assisting in the distribution of medals at the finish line. You will help garland the medals on participants, ensuring each finisher receives their recognition and feels celebrated for completing the race.
Assist runners in collecting their finisher tees by verifying eligibility via barcode, bib, or collection slips, confirming sizes, and distributing the correct finisher tees efficiently. You are familiar with the size chart and layout, and will ensure smooth and accurate service during high-traffic periods.
As a Recovery Crew Volunteer, you will be responsible for ensuring participants receive their post-race refreshments and recovery products after crossing the finish line. You will help distribute these items efficiently, making sure runners have the necessary nutrients and hydration to recover after the race.
