CREW CHALLENGE
Crew Challenge
This new format makes its debut in 2026. Teams of 4 can sign up as a named crew and are required to race the BYD Marathon individually. The fastest combined finishing times decide the rankings.
With no requirements on gender split and age, the format is fully open. Can your crew deliver the fastest times combined?

FAQs
Can I change a team member after registration?
Team member changes may be permitted before the cut-off deadline, subject to the event organiser’s approval and registration policies.
Can international runners join or form a team?
Yes. The race is open to all eligible runners, and teams may include participants of any nationality.
Do all runners need to complete the race?
Yes. All four runners must finish the race for the team to receive an official combined time and ranking.
What happens if two teams have the same combined time?
In the event of a tie, teams will share the same placing (e.g. joint 1st or joint 15th). Rankings will proceed sequentially without omission of positions (e.g. two 1st places will still be followed by a 2nd place; two 15th places will be followed by a 16th place). For podium positions, prizes will be awarded to all tied teams.
How do I register a team?
Teams can register by selecting Crew Challenge during the registration process and submitting the details of all four runners.
I found enough members to form a crew after registering. Can we modify our race entries to take part in the Crew Challenge?
No. Crew Challenge participation must be selected during registration and cannot be added afterwards.
